English ★　Open Call for Artworks ★“Japan Nadeshiko Watercolor Triennial 2023”

This is the first edition of the triennial international open call exhibition of transparent watercolors from Japan, held at the iconic Nadeshiko Art and Culture Centre in Kobe. We welcome the challenge of diverse expressions that expand the possibilities of transparent watercolor.

★Eligibility: Participants must be above 18 years and agree to the terms and conditions of the exhibition. The applicant must sign the application form.

★Application deadline: 2022 12/25(Sun）

★Artwork: Transparent watercolor painting. One artwork per person. Any theme, original artwork only. Other drawing materials (pencil, pen, etc.) can be used if only partially. Artworks selected in other open exhibitions are not allowed, but artworks on Social Media may be entered.

★Size: 38 x 46 cm (painting size with no margins. It means 10 minus from the long side of Half Imperial). Both vertical and horizontal are acceptable.

★Entry fee: Free of charge. However, the selected artworks will be subject to an exhibition fee as described below.

★Entry details: Send the artwork image and a signed image of this application form (Photo of the bottom part of this document signed by the applicant) by e-mail. The artwork image should be a JPEG file with only the artwork cut out, and made between 1 MB and 4 MB. The artist's name, title of the artwork and country should be in the file name.

★Group Entries: Individuals can apply, but priority is given to group applications (two or more people), and group applicants receive a discount on the exhibition fee after acceptance.

★Notification of the results: Group representatives and individual applicants will be notified of the results by email by 3 January 2023. In addition, the winners will be announced on 11 January (only those applicants whose exhibition fees have been paid will be announced).

★Exhibition fees for selected artists: Group entries - 70 EURO/person; Individual entries - 120 EURO/person. The fee includes framing for the exhibition. There is no exhibition fee for the group representative of a group of eight or more entrants (Either selected or not selected). The group representative must pay the fees of all the selected entrants in the group all together. Exhibition fees must be paid by 10 January 2023. Payment (PayPal) details will be provided after selection.

★Sending in your artwork: Details of the sending in procedure will be advised after your artwork selected. Framing is not required, please send only the artwork. No paper margins are required.

★Awards: Seven particularly outstanding entries will be awarded prizes by the seven star jurors. More prizes may be awarded in case of a large number of  outstanding entries.
